Australian television personality, singer and actress Kerri-Anne Kennerley has bravely stepped forward to tell of the struggles she went through with her ex-husband, music producer Jimmy Miller, during their marriage.

Miller is known for producing albums such as the Rolling Stone’s Sticky Fingers, Let It Bleed and Beggars Banquet, as well as Motorhead’s Overkill and Bomber and Primal Scream’s Screamadelica.

Kennerley was swept off her feet when she married the New-Yorker, however she quickly realised she was in danger when he became abusive. She tells of the horrifying moments she thought her life was over because the abuse was so bad, but she made it out alive and is now happily married to her husband of 33 years, John Kennerley.

She talks of the moment she threatened his life with his own gun, just to try and save herself. It’s easy to think that the relationship is all there is, and it is normal, but it is the furthest thing from normal and Kerri-Anne realised the importance of seeking help, as she sought comfort with John.

When pointing the gun at her ex-husband, she believes if he came any closer she would have pulled the trigger.
